lyrics
One small seed, integrity, too quick to bleed
One step too far to reach for the day, it lashes me
Rob the grave, cold sweat depraved, rest well now slave
The hidden blade that stabs at the brave
Hail the new master, forefathers’ slayed and shamed
Nothing but laughter, to spread, infect and resurrect
Detest the power that’s inside, the key that unlocks the caged beast
Retrocide shed your skin with me
Retrocide burn the family tree
Retrocide shed your skin with me
Retrocide burn your family
Blinding speed, why so surprised, progress tells no lies
Just one more shit to add to the pile, now take me in
No cheap tricks, or politics, you’ve had your time
You go your way and I’ll go mine
Hail the disaster, forefathers’ slayed and shamed
Nothing but laughter, to spread, infect and resurrect
Detest the power that’s inside, the key that unlocks the caged beast
Retrocide
The deceiver, believer, run from this heathen
It’s the 7th day and I’m not resting
Run, please leave, it’s what’s best for all and we need
Just one motherfucker to stand tall and breathe
Run, come see, what’s left is all but free
It’s time for this to become more than just creed
This is how it goes and if it ever shows
One slice end it all for me
In the darkest rain and in the deepest shame
Hold tight when there’s nothing to see
Hail the disaster

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
This wild 35-track all-metal benefit album features Mare Cognitum, Panopticon, and more reinventing songs by Tori Amos & others. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 3, 2020
I'm a big fan of The Faceless middle two albums and when I saw Lyle Cooper was on this album I knew I needed to check it out. I bought the discography almost instantly, reminds me a little of The Faceless and a bit more of Fallujah who I also adore. Well worth the money, Support these great Musicians! dragonslayer8228
