lyrics
Basking in the evening glow
With the severed heads in the lion’s den
Along it flows and steadily it creeps, waist deep
When the undeniable tide of ill will seeps, neck deep
Watching it falling to pieces
This desperate internal momentum takes hold
Round and round we go, snake skin
Up a blind alley is a joy forever
The shrill cold hand that runs down your back
The inevitability, the kiss of death
Watching it all fall to pieces
This desperate internal momentum takes hold
The dead of winter is easily misled
In one fell swoop, the cumulative solace of nothingness
Anguish, torture, despair, still rationing
Twilight, tracks in the sand are deepening
If you’re born to be hanged you’ll never drown
He travels fastest who travels alone
Hard feelings, no meaning, with nothing left to show
Like a dead Russian left in the snow
Hard times don’t fall on dead hearts, it’s best to let it go
The relentless beat of the drum, the usurper of your place in the sun
For the sweet solace of nothingness
Anguish, torture, despair, still ambushing
Twilight, cracks in the man are widening
Episode nine
If you’re born to be hanged you’ll never drown
He travels fastest who travels alone
Hard feelings, no meaning, with nothing left to show
Like a dead Russian left in the snow
Hard times don’t fall on dead hearts, it’s best to let it go
The relentless beat of the drum, the usurper of your place in the sun
Anguish torture despair sheer frustration couldn’t care
Suffocate what I have become, tide and time wait for no one
If you’re born to be hanged you’ll never drown

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
This wild 35-track all-metal benefit album features Mare Cognitum, Panopticon, and more reinventing songs by Tori Amos & others. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 3, 2020
I'm a big fan of The Faceless middle two albums and when I saw Lyle Cooper was on this album I knew I needed to check it out. I bought the discography almost instantly, reminds me a little of The Faceless and a bit more of Fallujah who I also adore. Well worth the money, Support these great Musicians! dragonslayer8228
